Nigerian Navy DSSC Recruitment;
1. ACCOUNT AND BUDGET
Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree or HND in Economics, Accounting and Business Administration or HND in Business and Accounts. Membership of a professional body like ICAN, ANAN, ACMA, ACCA, ACA will be an added advantage.
2. CHAPLAIN
Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from a registered Institution of Theology from either of the following:
i.       Catholic Mission.
ii.     Protestant Mission.
Applicants must have completed 2 years apprenticeship in Apostolic Ministry and be recommended from the Pastoral Missions. In addition to qualifications required, applicants must be of male gender and duly ordained clergy of their respective Christian faith.
3. EDUCATION
Applicants must possess B.Ed. in relevant fields. Holders of first degree with PGD in the following fields are also eligible:
i.             Mathematics
ii.           English Language
iii.        Physics
iv.        Geography
v.           Chemistry
vi.        Economics
vii.      French
viii.   Computer Science
ix.        History
4. ENGINEERING
Applicants must possess a BSc or HND or equivalent qualifications in the following fields:

                 ii.            Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
              iii.            Mechanical/Marine Engineering.
              iv.            Naval Architecture/Ship Design.
Membership of Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and Council of Registered Engineers of Nigeria (COREN) will be an added advantage.
5. HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
Applicants must possess a BSc, BA, HND or equivalent qualification in Personnel Management, Public Administration or Human Resource Management. Membership of NIM and other relevant bodies is an added advantage.
6. SEAMAN
Applicants must possess BSc/HND in Nautical Sciences. Membership of relevant professional body will be an added advantage.
7. HYDROGRAPHY
Applicants must possess a BSc or HND in the following fields:
                   i.            Cartography.
                 ii.            Surveying/Geoinfomatics.
              iii.            Geophysics.
              iv.            Physical Oceanography.
Membership of NIS is an added advantage. Applicants with BSc degree in Physics and Mathematics must possess a Post Graduate Diploma in Land Survey to be eligible.
8. IMAM
Bachelor of Arts in Islamic Studies with special reference to Islamic Jurisprudence and Theology. Diploma in Counselling Psychology will be an added advantage. Applicants with Post Graduate Diploma in Islamic Studies must have 5 Years’ experience.
9. INFORMATION
Applicants must possess a BSc or HND in the following fields.
                   i.            Mass Communication.

              iii.            Public Relations.

                 v.            Cinematography.
              vi.            Television Production.

10.     INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY
Applicants must possess BSc/B.Tech/B.Eng. in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. Priority will be given to candidates with relevant qualification in:
                   i.            Website development and management.
                 ii.            Networking and network administration.
              iii.            Programming multimedia and software development.
              iv.            Server and database administration.
                 v.            Information and cyber security.
Certification in relevant fields will be an added advantage.
11.     MEDICAL
Applicants in the medical field must possess the following qualifications:
                 i.            Doctor/Dental Surgeons
MBBS, MBchB or equivalent. Must be fully registered by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria and must possess a current practicing license.
               ii.            Pharmacist
B.Pharm degree and be fully registered with the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria and have a current practicing license.
            iii.            Radiographer
Minimum of BSc/HND in Radiography.
            iv.            Nursing
B.NSc or equivalent with post basic qualification in a nursing field. Sub Specializations such as ICU, A&E, Theatre, Anaesthesia will be an added advantage.
               v.            Dietician
B.Sc. or HND Dietician/Nutrition. Must be registered with Dietetics Council of Nigeria.
            vi.            Medical Lab Scientist
Must possess either a BMLS or AIMLS and its equivalent and be fully registered with the Medical Laboratory Scientist Council of Nigeria as well as possess a current practicing license.
          vii.            Physiotherapist
Must possess either B. Physiotherapy or BMR (Bachelor of Medical Rehabilitation). Must be registered with the Medical Rehabilitation Therapist Registration Board of Nigeria (MRTB) and possess a current practicing license.
       viii.            Medical Records/Health Information Management
Minimum of BSc/ HND required.
            ix.            Public Health Officer
Minimum of BSc/HND in either Environmental Health or Community Health Information and Education. Must be fully registered with the Environmental Health Officers Registration Council of Nigeria (EHORCON) and possess a current practicing license.
               x.            Optometrist
Doctor of Optometry. Must be a fully registered optometrist, dispensing optician by the Optical Council of Nigeria and have a current practicing license.
            xi.            Hospital Administration
Minimum of BSc/HND Hospital Administration required.
          xii.            Biomedical Engineer
Minimum of BSc/HND in Biomedical Engineering required.
       xiii.            Clinical Psychologist
Minimum of BSc/HND in Clinical Psychology and Applied Psychology required.
12.     MUSIC
Applicants must possess BA/HND in Music. Proficiency in any musical instrument will be an added advantage.
13.     SPORTS/PT
Applicants must possess BA/HND in Physical & Health Education or equivalent. Proficiency in any physical sport will be an added advantage.
14.     LOGISTICS
BSc/HND/B.Eng. in the following fields:
                 i.            Architecture.
               ii.            Catering.
            iii.            Civil Engineering.
            iv.            Economics, Business Management or in Purchasing and Supply (PS).
               v.            Final Certificate of Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology.

GENERAL INFORMATION TO CANDIDATES
1.      Applicants are warned against giving false information or tendering fake certificates. Any false information or fake certificates discovered at any stage will lead to disqualification and subsequent prosecution of the applicant.
2.      Applicants must possess a minimum of Second Class Upper Division for holders of First degree and Upper Credit for HND holders. Computer literacy will be an added advantage.
3.      Applicants must possess certificates of full registration with their respective statutory professional bodies in Nigeria.
4.      All applicants must be single.
5.      Applicants must possess NYSC discharge certificate or letter of exemption from NYSC.
6.      All applicants must present O’level West African Examination Certificate (WAEC), in addition to any other results such as NECO. Credit in Mathematics and English is compulsory.
7.      Male applicants must not be less than 1.68 metres tall while female applicants must not be less than 1.65 metres tall.
8.      Applicants should be between 22 and 28 years of age by 31 January 2018 except Chaplains and Imams who should not be more than 30 years.
9.      Applicants will be shortlisted for a qualifying aptitude test. The date, time and result of the aptitude test will be placed on this website.
10. Applicants are to choose any of the following centres for the qualifying aptitude test:
a.     Abuja – Command Day Secondary School, Mogadishu Barracks.
b.     Bauchi – Command Day Secondary School, Shadawanka Barracks.
c.      Owerrinta – Nigerian Navy Finance and Logistics School, Owerrinta.

11. Applicants are to bring the following to the Aptitude Test Centres:
a.     Parents/Guardian Consent Form.

d.     Photocopies of Certificates including NYSC Discharge Certificate.
12. In addition, applicants are to note that the entire enlistment process is free and they should refrain from giving money to any individual under any guise.

NNPC/TOTAL SCHOLARSHIP 2017/2018 SCHEME


Annually, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), and Total Upstream Companies in Nigeria (TUCN): Total Exploration & Production Nigeria Limited (Total E&P Nig Ltd) and Total Upstream Nigeria Limited (TUPNI), together with their venture partners, award scholarships to deserving Nigerian students in the tertiary institutions in the country.
The programme is aimed at promoting academic excellence and quality manpower development in the Country. This is one of the many ways TOTAL demonstrates its commitment to the educational development of Nigerian students. It is a part of NNPC/TOTAL’s rich Corporate Social Responsibility.
This scholarship scheme has been successfully carried out over the years. The 2017/2018 is due and this web portal is dedicated to receiving applications from eligible Nigerian undergraduates.

A. GENERAL INFORMATION:
Application Forms are available here and must be completed online. Applications will close on October 31, 2017. Selection tests will hold on December 2, 2017 at designated centers nationwide which will be communicated to shortlisted candidates only. Candidates will fully bear the cost transportation to test venue as no reimbursement shall be made.
Candidates are therefore advised to choose a test center closest to them.

B. To Qualify for Consideration, the Applicant MUST:
1. Be a Registered FULL TIME undergraduate in a recognized Nigerian University
2. Be a certified 100 or 200 level Student at the time of application
3. Show proof of SSCE or Equivalent Certificate.
4. Show proof of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) score.
5. Show proof of Admission letter from the University and Matriculation Number
6. Show proof of A-level or Equivalent Certificate (for direct entry students)

PLEASE NOTE:
• Students with less than 200 score in UTME need not apply
• Students with less than 2.50 CGPA of 5-point scale, or equivalent
• 300 level students and above need not apply
• Current beneficiaries of similar awards from the oil industry need not apply.

C. HOW TO APPLY
1. Personal Information: Enter your name, date of birth and permanent home address Upload your recent passport photograph.
2. Contact Information: Enter your email and mobile phone information. Only use an active email and mobile phone number.
3. Origin: Enter your state and local government of origin data. You are required to upload a certificate or proof of origin from your local government or state.
4. University Information: Select your university, course and year of study. You will be required to upload your JAMB/University admission letter.
5. Result Information: Input your JAMB score or CPGA. You are required to upload your JAMB statement of result and university CPGA. For year two medical students, your JAMB score suffices.
6. Review Application: Review your application ensure all fields have been correctly entered. Upload all the documents required:
• Recent Passport Photograph
• Certificate or Proof of Origin
• Senior Secondary Certificate of Education (SSCE)
• UTME result
• JAMB/University Admission Letter
• 1st Year Result showing CGPA
7. Conclusion: Attest that all info given is true. Accept terms and condition. On screen alert will confirm that you have successfully completed the application. You will receive an email to confirm this too.

D. Conditions of Award
1. Criteria / Rules for Award:
• The CSR-Education Department, TUCN implements the National Merit Scholarship program in line with approved Procedure
• The National Merit Scholarship Award Scheme is an educational assistance for undergraduate students in recognized Nigeria universities
• All matriculated undergraduate regular students in their first or second year of study in recognized Nigerian universities are eligible to apply for the scholarship tests
• All candidates must supply their matriculation numbers and other relevant information from their Universities to be eligible for the award
• No scholarship is awarded to students on part time/sandwich programs
• The award is made to only those who are not holding similar scholarships from the industry
• The award is based on the result of a selection test to be administered by a National Examination body (WAEC or its equivalent)
• The award is effective for the current session of award but renewable for the remaining duration of the students’ program
• The award is only renewable upon the presentation of academic performance of a CGPA of not less than 2.5 on a 5 point scale or equivalent (e.g. 50% of a 4 or 7 point scale), obtained in the previous academic session
• All awardees shall open an account in a Nigerian bank in their own name through which the scholarship payments shall be made. No awardee shall be paid in cash

2. General Requirements:
• The call for submission of applications is publicized in the national dailies. It is also be online on Total website as well as on the Company Intranet
• All Scholarship awards are by merit selection after the intending beneficiary has presented himself/herself, sat for and passed the selection tests at the designated centres across the Country
• The application process is online
• A national Examination body administers, conducts and marks the selection examination and provides the tests results in a secure environment
• Selection tests is annual for that current academic session
• Student verification exercise is carried out from time to time students on the scheme.
• An Award letter signed by the Deputy Managing Director, DMD, of TUCN is the sole evidence of commitment of TUCN to the awardee. The beneficiary must return a fully signed Acceptance Form committing him/her to the regulations guiding the National Merit Scholarship Scheme
• Payment of the award is strictly into the beneficiary’s personal bank account. The first payments shall be made within two months of the award while the subsequent payments shall be upon receipt of annual school result of beneficiary.
• Beneficiaries are strictly first or second year students of tertiary institutions and must have completed all admission processes and have obtained duly signed university Admission/Offer Letter and/or Student Matriculation number
• No changes in the course of study, the location of study or the duration of course is entertained during the life of the National Merit Scholarship award. Any such change must be communicated in a written application and reviewed on its merit
• The National Merit Scholarship award is non-transferable and non-extendable. It is not a future Engagement Contract neither is any student under any Bond with the Company during or after the period of award

3. General Procedure:
• An advertisement in the national newspapers and online shall kick start the process, calling prospective candidates to submit their applications. A nominal 4-week period is allowed for submission of applications
• Award letters are issued upon approval. Successful candidates must acknowledge and commit to the rules guiding the scheme
• Due diligence is carried out on the successful candidates to confirm all their data including student data and bank account details
• The successful candidates’ profiles are captured in the database
• An induction program may be organised for the new awardees to further highlight and enlighten them on the conditions of the scheme
•  Payment are processed for the awardees in line with approved procedure

4.  Scholarship Rates / Amount:
The following amount shall apply to the National Merit Scholarships Scheme
